Mod supersite Mod DB has compiled a list of the top 100 mods and indie games of 2009, asking gamers to pick their favorites as contenders for the coveted 2009 Mod of the Year Award. Mod DB’s Mod of the Year award is a big deal in the modding community, and it should be. Previous winners include Garry’s Mod, Red Orchestra and Natural Selection, each of which has gone on to achieve commercial success.
